Very nice, easy to read
Kudos to the developer for making a nice, dark UI. The gauges are very responsive and I like that I can click on them to get detailed info.
MONIT is a system monitiring app that lives in the notification centre as a widget. it give you information about CPU, RAM, Disk, Network and Battery usage. The widget layout is great. And best of all, IT’S COMPLETELY FREE! Kudos tot eh developers!

pretty neat widget. doesnt give as much detail as istats does but it gets the job done for sure and for free.

Very handy and easy
I wish that this had been developed years ago! Super simple and quick to do in creating a boot disk on a USB stick or other device.
Wish I could review the functionality, but it doesn’t work for me on my 13” MBP running 10.11. Only the Monit title bar ever shows in the notification center, and trying to manually results in a “Monit quit unexpectedly” dialog every single time. I’ve yet to be able to see this app in action.

I just purchased this and like a stupid man I bought it for 2.99 I can't even see it installed in the new Sonoma 14. This is insane. What a horrible product
Abandoned app
Don't install this, the developer abandoned it They should just remove it from the App Store Doesn't work on modern versions of MacOS or Apple Silicon macs at all
An App that does nothing luckily costs nothing
I really wanted this App to work. I have legacy Macs so I had know perceived issue with OS compatibility. The App ( Widget ) just doesn't appear in list. Installer helper doesn't help, and if it did I'd still be annoyed to need a second or third app to run the first.
Why is this app still listed in the app store
Why does this app show up for incompatible versions of the OS? All the info that Apple has, yet they do nothign to protect their customers from buying software that won't run on their machines. I guess taking that 30% is more important than providing an actual service to customers.
No updates :C
There are no longer updates for this app. Unfortunately it didn't work on Big Sur and now we're two MacOS upgrades further.

The developer(s) have NO respect for the users of this app as they haven't not had it working for a couple years (since 2018/19 ish). Hey, why not give refunds to people who paid for — a what was great app — this app and got screwed over.
Developers Stopped Working On it
This app was amazing, just until the developers stopped working on it. I'm not completely sure if they are still working on this, but their last tweet and last website edit seemed to be a few months ago. Again, I'm not saying that they abandonded this project forever, but I doubt support for the newer MacOS will come anytime soon, or ever.
Why no Big Sur support?
Big Sur has been out for over a year and there's still no compatibility. Why?

I bought this when I upgraded to Big Sur because I understood they were going to develop an update. Wasted money! It's been almost a year probably. Still nothing! Total bust.

I get that it takes time to update widgets, but we've paid for this and it's been more than 10 months. If there's no longer any interest in keeping this widget up to date then please take it off the store.

I'm updating to macOS Monterey as I write this. Sad that an entire OS version has come and gone and the Monit devs STILL haven't managed to provide their customers a working version for a purchased product.
Does Not Work on Big Sur
The listing has this note from the developer: "Monit does not currently work on macOS Big Sur. We need a bit more time, but an update will come." With no update in 9 months and the widget still missing for Big Sur, this is looking less and less likely. What was once a great purchase has now become useless. This is a 1-star review until they get their act together and release an update.

Non-functional after Big Sur update, app is effectively abandoned. Don't bother trying.

Big Sur has been out for 7 months-Still doesn't work
I use to love this app. But it has not worked since Big Sur was released. That was 7 months ago. And this doesn't count the time developers had to get their apps ready for Big Sur before the Nov. 2020 Grand Master release.

NOT WORKING on Mac OSX 11 Big Sur
Not FAIR. This widget does NOT at all show up in the list when you click edit. The only potential issue I can think of is that it does not support OSX 11.2.3. The Description Should Clearly Say That. But it does not at all mention that if you buy it on OSX 11 then you are basically doing the same thing as setting your money fire, because it was lost. This is unfair.
Big Sur support needed
Please update the app to support Big Sur and M1 chips. This is an awesome light weight monitoring app that I loved using. Only giving it a low rating due to lack of modern support.

This app used to work very well, but now it's causing my finder to hang from time to time. I'm very disappointed with the lack of updates.

New update doesnt allow me to set this up on NOTIFICATION
The app now cannot be added to the notification section. I set up my hot spots on my laptop, I usually point to the bottom right of the screen and my notification settings pop up and now this app is no longer an option to add to notification area.

I recently took the plunge and updated to macOS Big Sur, unfortuantely the Monit widget no longer appears in the notification center and cannot be added back. I have removed and reinstalled Monit and the Monit Helper with no success.

Good, customizable at a glance info
It's not the most intuitive app, but it is customizable to display the information you want to see. I'm a little bummed since upgrading to Big Sur because there's no widget support for this app yet. Looking forward to that!
Please UPDATE
I loved the app as it provided very usefull infromation, but after the new macOS update, can't see that data anymore and can't add the app in the notification center. Please update this!

dojnt bother wasting your moeny, if you upgraded to big sure it wont work at all, and if you already had it and upgraded to Big Sur, your out of luclk also. I wish I could get my 2 bucks back. As this is absolutely USELESS!!! I bascialy just gsve this comapny moeny for nothing, might as well have thrown it out the window.

I downloaded and the app instructions as the user to go to notifications and edit. Well, no edit function on my OS. Not listed in the notification list. A total wast of money. Refund, please.

I almost gave this 1 star.
I bought this to check TEMP and FAN speed. I installed the HELPER separately, as this is needed. Then, these things were nowhere to be seen. I found from another review that you have to CLICK on the CPU circle. That's NOT intuitive. So now I know HOW to see the info I was concerned about. I think this info should be available via some little icons or something to at least let you know that it maybe wasn't CATALINA blocking the info or something... I almost gave up and then decided to see what others thought in these comments. That's the ONLY reason I now give it 5 stars.
good but lacks GPU use
This app gives you no GPU usage info, only temperature. I bought this app as a quick and light way to make sure render settings are working correctly on GPU, CPU or both. Opening Activity Monitor can be slow during a render and I was looking for a quick solution to see GPU use, it does have a shortcut button to it. It's still a nifty little widget and does include CPU, Memory, disk and battery usage.
No useful CPU temp info
Love the design of this widget and could easily see giving it 5 stars if it weren't for one thing... the CPU temperature reading is useless. All you get is a "thermal" display needle. It has no degrees F/C for precision. The needle just goes from high to low with the fans, but I can already hear that information with the fans. I really need to see the actual (precise) temperature to make better choices to avoid throttling and fans. The battery temp is shown numerically and much more clear, but isn't a good indicator for CPU throttling and fans, really need the CPU temp. Would send this to tech support, but no contact information is listed in the app.
Monit Helper not working on Catalina
And that's the whole reason I purchased Monit. I hate sneaky software like that - their homepage clearly shows Monit WITH THE HELPER INSTALLED. (I.e., with additional sensors.) Which is the only reason I paid for it. Only to learn that by default, it only has basic sensors like CPU and disk utilization. (Yawn.) To get the snazzy sensors, you have to download and install the Monit Helper. Which alas, while it installs, it doesn't work - reboots be damned. I don't know if portraying Monit with the Helper (that doesn't work) is intentional false advertising. I'd like to give benefit of doubt, but if not, it's a neglegent oversight.
Needs UPDATES
This app was perfect, and it's still useful. But it needs some software updates for the latest MacOS. Disk Space is off, no longer able to open Activity Monitor by clicking the icon, etc... Just weird things that could be resolved by an update. Please keep keep development active!
